- Briefcase Mentor - trends and ways to thrive in a corporate environment.
- Smart Money Aid - college financial aid, financial management and personal-finance issues.
- First Things First - How to lay the foundation for success - how to get started.
- Inside Corporate America - Profiles of innovation, best practices, and diversity.
- Inside Government - Profiles of innovation, best practices, trends, and laws that affect the lives of professionals and their families.
- Hot Wired - technology news and trends; ways to get the most from technology.
- Fit for Life - Trends and information for maintaining a health lifestyle.
- Celebrity Spotlight - profile of an up&coming personality in entertainment, sports, etc.
Where to Start
- It's a good idea to read an issue of the magazine (print or online) before sending an article or query.
- Queries should summarize and describe the topic clearly and succinctly. Avoid vagueness and generalities. Be as specific as possible about what aspects and slant of the subject you will cover, evidence of sources, people you will interview, how the story will help our, readers and why you're qualified to write it.
- Include in your E-mail a return mailing address, email address, and both day and evening phone numbers on all correspondence.
- Due to the number of queries we receive, we do not respond to queries that are rejected. Allow a minimum of 6-8 weeks for an email response for accepted queries. No phone calls.
- If your article idea is accepted, you will receive an email asking you to submit your full manuscript; this does not guarantee that the completed manuscript will be accepted for publication.
